It is no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but many of us seem to forgo it when things are a little busy.
Avocado and Egg Toast
Avocado has become hugely popular over the past few years, not at least because it is a food that is pretty darn good for you.
Lightly toast 2 slices of whole-grain bread and then top with plenty of smashed avocado.
Pop on two eggs (just how you like them) and you have a protein packed, well rounded breakfast.
Chocolate Oats Breakfast Bowl
Are you a sucker for a sugary chocolate cereal? If you are then we have a healthy way to enjoy a bit of chocolate for breakfast. All you need is:
- 1 cup of oats
- 2 cups milk of choice
- 2 Tbsps of cocoa powder
- 2-3 tsp of maple syrup
Simmer your oats and milk in saucepan until cooked (takes around 5 minutes).
Once all the liquid is absorbed and the oats are silky smooth you need to remove from the heat, add the cocoa powder, maple syrup and stir.
Serve in a bowl topped with the chocolate and mixed berries.
