Top summer foods

Keeping hydrated is vital during hot weather and of course this means drinking plenty during the day. However, you might not think it but there are some particular foods that can refresh and hydrate us too.

Watermelon and cucumber have a high water content, meaning that they are refreshing as well as keeping your body hydrated. Cucumber in particular also has vitamin C in it which will help protect your skin from sun damage caused by those pesky UV rays!

Natural skin remedies

It seems to be a common concern that the summer months will have an impact on your skin; with air conditioning, heat and of course the sun itself all taking a toll on the hydration and overall glow.

A homemade face pack is an ideal way to protect and replenish your skin during the warmer weather. A popular recipe that we have seen is Lemon and Aloe Vera; lemon is rich in antioxidants and is also full of vitamin C. Aloe Vera is not only a natural antiseptic but will also cool and soothe your tired skin too.

Beach perfect hair

No matter how much we all love those days spent at the beach the heat, sand and of course salt water can wreak havoc on our hair with it ending up looking frazzled, dry and not at all at its best.

One fantastic natural hair treatment that is ideal for summer is a combination of honey and egg yolks. It may not seem the most delicious of mixtures however it is known to stimulate those tired roots and also sooth a dry scalp too.
